Ohio District Kiwanis First Lady Receives Zeller Fellowship

For her conception of and dedication to the Backback Project, First Lady of Ohio Kiwanis, Cheryl Snellgrove received a Walter Zeller Fellowship from Northwest Kiwanis home club of District Governor Bill Snellgrove. The Backpack Project provides essential items to children who are assigned to foster care to help them settle in to their new living conditions. The Walter Zeller Fellowship was designed to honor substantial donations made to the Kiwanis Eliminate Project in honor of Walter Zeller, the first donor to the Kiwanis International Foundation. The Eliminate Project is a combined Kiwanis and UNICEF effort to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus worldwide. Congratulations, Cheryl.

Ohio District Governor Bill Snellgrove and First Lady Cheryl both addressed the Mid-Year Training Conference on March 10. Division 10-W Lt. Governor Joe Sonderman moderated a session and Craig Smith sat on a panel that discussed Model Clubs for the Eliminate Project.
