History
The Kiwanis Club of Northwest Columbus has a long tradition dating back to its charter on November 21, 1928. The longest standing project still in operation today is the license agency. Our club historian dates the founding of the agency to 1936. Arch Yost was the first of a long line of individuals who devoted much of their time to make the auto tag sale a success.
The hard work of the early Northwest Kiwanians paid off for the community, as the proceeds from the license agency were used to purchase the first emergency squad for the city of Grandview. Later a similar vehicle was donated to Upper Arlington.
Over the years the club has been involved in many projects. Whether the activity involved financial support or manpower assistance, Northwest Kiwanis is justifiably proud of the impact we've made on the community in a positive fashion. No current program better exemplifies this than our youth soccer program. We greatly appreciate the community support.
